I became a doctor because I love to learn and to teach. With gratitude, I continue to develop my career through continuing education.
— Banafsheh Bayati, M.D.

I have been in private practice in Santa Monica since 2004. I graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. I completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a special interest in adolescent gynecology at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center.

My practice now serves women from adolescence to menopause. With an emphasis on preventative health, I practice holistic medicine with compassion and a listening ear. I believe our attitude and approach to life significantly impacts our health. A positive outlook, regular exercise, mindful eating, stress management, and caring relationships combined with regular visits to a knowledgeable, empathic physician forms the fountain of youth. Simply stated, but difficult to achieve, these goals are addressed regularly in my practice.

I became a doctor because I love to learn and to teach. With gratitude, I continue to develop my career through continuing education in medicine including the field of genetics and minimally invasive surgery. My passion is obstetrics. I take pride in my deliveries, being as present as possible and knowing my patients well.

In leading others to better health, I start with my own. I’m a mindful eater as food is medicine. I practice yoga as well as meditation. I also enjoy running and swimming in the ocean. I reside in Santa Monica with my husband and three children. I am blessed with my family, my practice and my community. I look forward to entrusting your care.
